New presentation box for the « Age Statements » Cognac range and new global partner
Cognac Prunier signs an exclusive distribution partnership with the Stoli group for the Duty Free markets
Stolichnaya (Stoli) is one of the most famous Russian vodka brands in the world. It is one of the oldest Russian vodkas. The Stoli group has signed an exclusive agreement with Prunier for the distribution of their cognacs in Duty Free around the world, with immediate effect.
Hugues Pietrini, President of Stoli Group, declared :
This is a very exciting time for Stoli Group. In addition to our main business which is selling vodka, we are
also present in the upscale markets of tequila, agave spirits, rum and gin. Cognac is a natural
and judicious complement. It is a large and growing market that is now the world's fifth-largest market
of spirits with 1.6 million 9-liter cases in 2017 and more than 6% of the total spirits sales. Cognac Prunier is
already present at Singapore Changi airport, but the new partners believe that cognac can strengthen
its position in the "super-premium" segment.
Jean-Philippe Aucher, Head of Global Travel Retail group at Stoli, said:
"Duty Free customers want exclusives and new products. Cognac Prunier provides them with the "Age Statement Collection", one of the most innovative tax-free boxes I've seen in recent times. "
New presentation box : « Age Statement Collection »
The "Age Statement Collection" offers eight incredible cognacs, all made with old eaux-de-vie collected over generations by the Prunier family. Each expression of "Age Statement" cognacs refers to the youngest cognac in the blend - 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 or 80 years.
The box was 100% made in French oak by a local craftsman, Fabrice Cousseau. Secret drawers and compartments have been added for accessories such as polished glass beads, which can be added to bottles after opening to prevent the oxidation of cognac.
The inside wooden box is lined with two watercolor reproductions from the famous Cognac artist Géo Maresté, a personal friend of the Burnez family.
The fiery collector of this beautiful object will also discover a secret drawer allowing him to join the Lieutenancy Club of Prunier, offering exclusive access to a VIP tour at the Domaine de Prunier.
The recommended selling prices for this “age statements” range vary from 129.90 € ($ 153) for the youngest to 6,999 € ($ 8,247) for the 80 years old.
This Travel Retail exclusive range is specially made for "traveling connoisseurs". DFS Singapore has already sold the complete collection to a Chinese customer for $ 48,000.
Stéphane Burnez, CEO and cellar master of Cognac Prunier, said: "Our commitment is to offer the most natural cognacs without artificial coloring, sugar and added wood extract. We are a very small company and we might be making our cognacs in the old fashion way, but we have a lot of experience with age statements and vintages and we believe in the difference. "
Founded in 1769, Cognac Prunier is the oldest independent Cognac house in France. Its President and cellar master, Stéphane Burnez, with his daughter Alice Burnez, mark the 10th and 11th generation involved in the family business.
Cognac Prunier is available in 50 international markets and is ready to conquer the global Duty Free market.
